How I source project materials

My old man wore Redwing boots as a finish carpenter. I grew up working on job sites beginning with a push-broom. After college and a few years as a corporate desk jockey pushing pixels, I realized I missed creating things with my hands. I built a basement workshop in 2018, and when the pandemic lockdowns came, my shop was key to maintaining my sanity. My passion quickly transformed into a side hustle as I created gifts for family, friends, and neighbors. I find an immense amount of satisfaction being entrusted with the creation of unique gifts that bring my client's vision to life.

The pieces I craft are often meant as heirloom gifts for major life events; a responsibility I do not take lightly. Each project is the result of dedicated and careful design effort to encapsulate the wishes of the client. I use only the highest quality rare & exotic woods that I personally source from small businesses and independent mills.

My day job offers the flexibility for me to work remotely and I leverage that freedom to travel as much as I can. During my travels I seek out small businesses that sell high-quality wood. I've developed partnerships with small lumber mills in NC, GA, TN, and VA that allow me to procure unique wood for my custom projects at competitive prices.
